Our hospital upholds the philosophy of "Providing safe medical care with heartfelt compassion." This philosophy is a message directed toward everyone who visits our hospital, including people from other countries. To ensure that all patients receive appropriate medical care, language assistance may sometimes be necessary.

To support foreign patients in receiving proper medical care with peace of mind, we have established an International Assistance Desk within our hospital and assigned dedicated staff members to assist them.

Currently, our International Assistance Desk staff provides support in English, Russian, Mandarin and Cantonese. For languages not covered by our staff, we utilize translation devices to assist with communication. If you need language assistance, please feel free to consult the International Assistance Desk.

Interpretation Service Fee

Starting from October 1, 2025, service fee will be applied to all patients requiring interpretation service. 

Outpatient Visits:

1,100 yen per consultation

(e.g. If you consult specialists from cardiology (internal medicine), gastroenterology (internal medicine), and orthopedics department and use interpretation services, the total interpretation fees will be 3,300 yen.)

Hospitalization:

1. Day surgery/procedure → 1,100 yen
2. Hospitalization up to 7 days → 3,300 yen
3. Hospitalization over 7 days → 5,500 yen

*For those undergoing health check-up at our Health Check-up Center, the interpretation fee is 22,000 yen (up to 2 hours).

Due to the limited number of interpreters available, you may have to wait to be served or at times, unable to receive interpreters’ assistance. Your understanding is highly appreciated.

Discharge procedure

When you are discharged, pay at counter No.3 Payments on the first floor. (If we collected a deposit from you at the time of admission, bring your deposit slip with you.)
The discharge time is around 9:30. If you would like to be discharged before 9:30, tell a ward nurse in advance.
When you are discharged, check your visit appointment(s) for follow-up outpatient examinations.

Greeting from the Hospital President

We are located close to Shinagawa Station in a very convenient location. As a medium-sized hospital, we are able to provide flexible and high-quality medical care. We have contributed to regional medical care as a designated emergency hospital (secondary emergency medical care facility), and in order to provide comprehensive regional medical care that encompasses “acute care, rehabilitation, and long-term care,” we established the “Regional Comprehensive Care Ward” in October 2014, and the “Medical Cooperation & Patient Support Center” in 2015. After acute care improved symptoms in patients with cancer, heart attacks, and strokes and achieved in their stable condition, the Comprehensive Care Ward, provides supports to improve their physical condition so that they can live safely and comfortably at home and in the community after discharge. The Medical Cooperation & Patient Support Center accepts patients and provides help for resolving problems during treatment. “Takanawa Visiting Nurse Station,” a hospital-affiliated center, provides suitable nursing care according to the needs of the patient and the patient’s family in cooperation with their family doctor so that the patient can recuperate in comfort after discharge.

Following the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in January 2020, we have had a system in place since March 2020 for accepting suspected COVID-19 patients, performing PCR tests, and handling outpatients with a fever. Currently, considering the needs of Tokyo and the infection trend, we have secured hospital beds (24 beds) specifically for COVID-19 patients, and all staff are working in together in order to maintain regular medical activities.

The field of medicine and medical care are constantly evolving as diagnostic and treatment methods become more diverse and complex, the nature of diseases changes due to aging and Westernization, the relationship between patients and doctors changes, and treatments are provided across various fields. Starting in April 2024, the way that medical care is provided may change significantly due to changes in the way doctors work. Our hospital is preparing to address these changes in the medical care environment as we aim to become a hospital” that provides safe and supportive medical care” that meets community needs. • We have hospital rooms with four beds or two beds, as well as private rooms, and we have a sufficient number of private rooms in order to ensure patient privacy.

• Each room has a TV and refrigerator.

• There is limited parking capacity, and it will likely be crowded. We recommend taking the subway, a train, or bus.
• The daily maximum 1,000-yen fee service that had applied to some individuals is no longer available.
• You can also use large bills, credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, JCB, Diners Club, American Express), and electronic payments (Suica, PASMO) to pay for the parking fees.

Ask for donations

Purpose of donations

Donations will be used within the scope of activities defined in Article 13-1 of the Japan Community Health care Organization Act. If the person providing a donation specifies a use for the donation, it will be used for that purpose.

Preferential tax treatment

The Japan Community Health care Organization is a specified public‐service promotion corporation and an independent administrative agency as defined in Article 2-1 of the Act on General Rules for Incorporated Administrative Agencies. Individuals and corporations who donate to the hospital are able to receive preferential tax treatment.

(1) Individuals can receive a donation deduction based on the provisions of the Income Tax Act, etc.
(2) Corporations can calculate donations as “tax deductions” up to the limit on deductible expenses separately from the limit on deductible expenses for regular donations based on the provisions of the Corporation Tax Act.

Things to do after submitting the donation application form

ⅰ）We will check the information in the donation application and then send a donation acceptance form.

ⅱ）When the donation acceptance form arrives, transfer the donation to the specified bank account.

ⅲ）After we confirm the donation, we will send a donation receipt. The donation receipt is necessary for preferential tax treatment. Keep it safe.
